My son will be 5 in 2 months he has a lose tooth is this too soon? He got his teeth early at 6 months?

I will never forget the advice my first boss gave to one of our young patients' mother who asked the same question, and she was stressing over her daughter's loose tooth...

Early in, early out.

It's nothing to be concerned about.. when it does come out, put it under his pillow and wait together for the first of many visits from the tooth fairy!

Have fun!

no that is not too soon.
Reply:That is fine. Everyone is different.
Reply:5 is the perfect time to start loosing teeth! My little cousin lost both her front teeth before she turned 5 its normal!
Reply:Not too early. Time for the tooth fairy!
Reply:all 3 of my kids started losing teeth about the same time. The only need to worry is if the baby teeth came out discolored.
Reply:For once I really know the answer. I worked at a pediatric dental office for several years. My best knowledge is that kids start losing their teeth from about 4 1/2 to age 7. That is a huge frame of time for the children. By the way, the longer your kids hold onto their teeth the better, As we grow our jaws and mouth get bigger, that extra time gives more room in your child's mouth to grow, creating more space which elimates over-crowding!!!!!!!!!!! My kids lost their teeth a little later and Thank God-- all their teeth came in pretty straight!!!!!
Reply:Nope! It's not too soon! I lost my first tooth when I was 6....and everyone's different...My 14 year old younger brother still has a couple "baby" teeth that he has yet to lose...
