Guinea Pig Lost Bottom 2 Teeth. This OK??

My guinea pig, Elvis got into a fight with another boy. This was their first fight and there was bloodshed. No injuries were made upon Cheeko, the other fighter. Elvis lost his two bottom teeth ( the main ones) and had bite marks on his back. What I'm concerned about is the teeth. I gave him some Timothy Hay and he ate that, but I mean he'll be fine, right???

He may have some trouble breaking down food for a while. Make sure to give him a lot of fresh veggies and Oranges to make it easier to digest until his teeth grow back. The should grow back, as long as they weren't completely ripped out (including the growth portion) As long as they were broken off, it should be no problem. I suggest keeping your boys apart. I have worked with guinea pigs and while we could keep 2 females together, 2 males could never be in the same enclosure.
Reply:yes, i'm pretty sure that this is just fine! if it wasn't a fight, and they fell out, then it wouldn't be okay. i think it's just a natural thing. he should be okay. good luck!
Reply:I would ask a vet about it.
Reply:As long as he can still chew his food he should be okay. A Guinea Pig's teeth never stop growing. There are actually problems where the bottom teeth of a guinea pig can grow so long that they penetrate the roof of its mouth and go into it head killing it. Still ... I would go take him to a vet (or call) and see what they have to say.
Reply:he'll be fuin. if he can't eat his pellets you can make pellet mushy. that what i had to do with my piggies when they lost thier teeth in the front and they still ate it.
Reply:As long as he can eat and drink and seems fine you might want to seperate Elvis and the other piggy good luck to you and Elvis best wishes.
