Can your wisdom teeth grow back?

I had my wisdom teeth removed like more than 5 years ago and like two mornings ago i woke up and in the back of my mouth where they took my wisdom teeth my gum has split apart. It looks like i lost a tooth and it feels like i have been punched in the face. i just wonder if something isnt trying to come through, so like i said can wisdom teeth grow back?

Can your wisdom teeth grow back?
absolutely not. It's possible your dentist was a complete retard, and didn't properly remove the roots, and now it's infected, but it seems like it would get infected a lot faster then 5 years. You probably just have some sort of gum infection
Reply:It is possible but its not called a wisdom tooth, its call a permamolar a very very rare tooth that grows in behind yor wisdom teeth i know cause i got 1 Report It

Reply:yeah, but if it's growing out of the same place the 3rd molar came out of it's not a permamolar. Report It

Reply:I do know that sometimes after having them removed, little shards of the tooth are left in the gum, and it's only time before they have to work their way out. It's quite common, and it hurts pretty badly. Your best bet is going to the dentist, and for the pain, use a bit of orajel.
Reply:mine didn't...
Reply:go get evaluated.. rarely people have more than one set of wisdom teeth but your doc could have told you that before your surgery... because the are usally visible in the xrays. most likey an infection... or peices migrating out.
Reply:Absolutely not. When there pulled their gone for good. However, in your case part of a root may have been broken off and left behind during the time of your first extraction. See your dentist and get it removed.
