Puppy teeth?

I have german speherd puppy, who is nearly 4 months now (next week). this morning i noticed that 2 of his teeth were loose and later today one fell out. I have looked on the internet and found no useful information about teething.


Could you please tell me:


~when will his adult teeth be fully out?


~what can i do to make it less painfull (if it is painfull)?


~and also i have herd that most dogs start losing their puppy teeth at 4-6 months but he isnt 4 months just yet, so does this sound like him losing his teeth or could it be something else?

Puppy teeth?
I have a GSD too and when he was about 3 months to 6 months his teethe were falling out as the adult ones grew in. i wouldn't worry about it since all puppies are different. To help your puppy with his teething, i highly recommend buying a "Chilly bone" at Petsmart,Petco. Its awesome! what you do is soak the chillybone in water, freeze it the night before and give to him in the morning. THe cold helps the teethe %26amp; ease the discomfort. If you don't want to spend the money, simply take an old sock, tie it in a knot, soak it, freeze and whoola! they love it, and since Shepherds like to chew, this is perfect. Poor little baby...i love how fuzzy they are! They are the best dog you can own, very VERY smart so you can already start training on him now.....let me know if you need any help!
Reply:they loose them at different patterns as long as it is the front teeth first moving outward the same as humans almost they should be fine


some things you can do is freeze some chicken soup ice cubes or freeze a clean old rag twisted up they will chew on these and the cold will make the pain subside
Reply:Puppies start teething at about 3 months, starting with incisors, and by 7 - 8 months, they're done.





You can make sure he's got lots of things to chew on - nylabones, kongs, etc. Also, if you wet and then freeze an old face cloth and give him that to chew on, it's very soothing for the gums.
Reply:Your puppy is just fine, 4-6 months is just a range, it could be a little sooner or later. He isn't in any pain, so don't worry about that, just provide puppy chew toys for him. The process happens really quick, with my Akita it seamed like he lost his puppy teeth and before I knew it he had all of his adult teeth!
Reply:Pups start losing baby teeth around 4 months, but a week here and there is not a big difference. Your pup is likely losing baby teeth. Usually the adult teeth push the baby teeth out, so you should be able to see the adult teeth almost as soon as the baby tooth falls out. Sometime people don't even see the baby teeth fall out, as the pup usually ends up swallowing the tooth. But sometimes they fall on the floor or whatever.





Just make sure your pup has plenty to chew on during this time, or he may try to find something to chew on the ease the discomfort. But it's not really painful. I think it's just a bit uncomfortable for them.





You could give some ice cubes to chew on too if you feel your pup is fussy.
