Blood left over after losing a tooth?

My sister who is 6 has just lost her first tooth. The blood has stopped pouring out her mouth, but there is still a very red, bloody area where the tooth came out. It has been like this for about 4 hours. Since I know nothing about this kind of thing, I was wondering if it should have cleared up by now or if it takes a bit longer for the blood to fully clear up? Thank you!

a small blood clot will form and remain there for about a week,do not poke or pick at it,
Reply:dont worry its normal i believe!
Reply:thats normal just wait a while till the new tooth comes in
Reply:leave it be, its fine.
Reply:There is no problem with the bloody area, it is normal and will heal very fast.
Reply:That red spot you're talking about is the clot. It has clotted in order to stop the bleeding and begin the healing process. Don't poke, clean, or remove this clot....just leave it to do its job. The mouth heals quickly, so it shouldn't be long before it's all better.
