Is there a way to replace lost teeth on a plastic zipper or fill the gap so the runner doesn't go off track?

a friend of mine swears that rubbing either chapstick or a candle over the area fixes all zipper problems....but who knows...I do know if you have a zipper that falls down a lot it will work...but the chapstick has to be reapplied almost everytime you unzip

that's a good idea the chapstick...i try to keep the zipper in line when i zip and pray it doesn't pull apart. Might be time for a new coat!! Report It

Reply:Not easily. It's better just to replace the zipper.
Reply:Easiest and best thing, is to replace the zipper.
Reply:No, but you can replace the zipper, or take the item to a tailor and have it replaced.
