How old are children when they begin to lose baby teeth?

My oldest was 5 when he started losing teeth. He has lost 8. He's 8 now and hasn't lost one in a while. My middle child is almost 5 and hasn't lost one yet.

How old are children when they begin to lose baby teeth?
5-6, although you can add or remove a couple years from that.

I didnt get teeth until i was three, and i didnt lose my first one until i was 8.
Reply:It really depends on the child. My son was 7 1/2 before he lost his first one. Now he is going to be toothless for Christmas as they have all decided to come out at once.
Reply:Typically children begin to loose their baby teeth about 5 years old. However, some children start when they are 4 and some can go later until they are 6 or 7. Usually in kindergarten, many children have lost a tooth or two before going to first grade.
Reply:All children are different. My daughter just lost her first tooth last week and she'll be 6 in January. Maybe he's losing them early since they came in early.
Reply:Yes. I have four children. Every kid is different, but it is perfectly normal for children to begin loosing their baby teeth around age 5 or 6. Their "adult" teeth are coming up from the gums and pushing out the "baby" ones above them. It's nothing to be concerned about, so long as your child lost it naturally. If the tooth/teeth get knocked out, then they should definitely see a dentist, but otherwise there's really not anything to worry about.
Reply:Normally, a baby begins to lose his teeth when he is 6 to 7 years old. But in a few exceptional cases, like hormonal disbalances children might begin to lose theis teeth at an abnormal rate or abnormally less or older age.

When a child brushes his teeth at a very young age his teeth fall quite early due to basic components in the toothpaste, and slowly loses his teeth when he doesn't brush his teeth at all!!
Reply:I think avg is 5-6. I was six. I remember because it happened not long after my father died. My son is 5 and is so excited, he cant wait to get wiggly teeth but so far no wiggles
Reply:My children lost their teeth at 7. Their teeth came in at 9 months. It just depends on the child.
