I have a Chihuahua and she lost two teeth in three days, whats' wrong? And is it ok to brush with human paste?

She still has pink gums, but her breath is alittle nasty. Will they be complications later, I have no idea. I really need your ideas and fast.

Firstly - how old is she? If she is a puppy then she will lose her baby teeth, just like a human child.

Second - no, don't use human toothpaste - get a proper enzymatic one for dogs, your vet and pet store will sell them.

Third - if she is an adult, take her to your vet to get her teeth checked out.
Reply:no you cant brush her teeth with human tooth paste it will make her sick..... how old is she? if she is a puppy its normal for her to be loosing teeth if not then you should call your vet and ask them what they think
Reply:No human tooth paste. They sell dog tooth paste at any petstore.

If she's still a puppy this is normal. She's just loosing her baby teeth just like humans do.

If not, you really should take her into the vet. Chihuahuas are notorious for dental issues. Abnormally bad breath can be a sign of tooth decay.

After adopting my senior chi, I spent over $1,000 on dental work. It appears that her previous owners never brushed her teeth or got them professionally cleaned. It is extremely important that you keep up with your dog's teeth, because tooth decay and rot can be very dangerous. Poor teeth left untreated can get infected and lead to more serious health issues.
Reply:don't brush your dogs theeth with toothpaste give her those dog treats that clean there teeth there only falling out because you brush them your self give the food mashed up she will be OK
Reply:take to the vets for an exam of her mouth and dental care.
