My daughter is 7 and hasn't lost any teeth yet! The dentist says not to worry, but I'm worried. What to do?

My son was 7 1/2 when he lost his first tooth. I went to dentist and he said dont worry. A few short weeks later, they started falling out.

Here is an article on it:

I was 7 when I lost my 1st tooth. I got 6 more pulled so they could start braces when I was 8 and I didn't grow back my eye teeth until 10th grade!! That's a long time to go with gaps in your mouth. I agree with the doctor and say- just be patient. They'll fall out eventually.
Reply:I wouldn't worry about it. As long as your dentist things it ok she should be fine. My son is almost 7 and just lost his first tooth. I was worried too since my eldest son lost most of his teeth in 1st grade (ages 5-6).
Reply:it is fine i did not lose my teeth till 7
Reply:No not at all. The twins are near eight and Matt doesn't even have a lose tooth, but there is nothing at all to worry about.
Reply:My daughter is 8 and has yet to lose one on her own. She had her bottom 2 pulled last fall because the permanent ones were growing in already and earlier this months we had to have the top front 2 pulled because they'd been loose since January and weren't budging. Mine were the same way growing up they said it's common to run in the family like that. Our pedi dentist told us not to worry about it either but it seems like she was the only one in her class not losing any..
Reply:Children get their teeth at different times, and therefore could lose their teeth later. I was 14 when I got braces, and they weren't able to put them on my 12 year molars because my tops weren't in all the way. I can really feel the difference in my teeth now. But don't worry about when she loses teeth. It'll happen.
Reply:I'm thirteen and just finished %26amp;th grade and ended my tooth losing carrer this April(no more tooth fairy money ; ) wink wink-just kidding )

It's fine I lost my first tooth when I was 8 then I lost 2 more that year. then 5 while i was nine. then nothing... at all... until 6th grade then i started losing them left and right . i lost my last 3 molars when i was in 7th grade the i was done.

I know kids in 3rd grade with all their baby teeth(my brothers just finishd 3rd grade and he's only just lost his first tooth) and I know some third graders with half the teeth gone.

Sum it up every kid is different and will lose their teeth at different times and ways.

unless any of your daughters teeth bother her and are needed to be pulled just leave it

wiggleing and pulling teeth out (with out a dentist doing it) leads to crooked teeth which lead to braces that will cost from $4000-$5000 now do you really want that???

just let the teeth be they come out all on they're own when they need to.

*If the permanate teeth are coming in beside the tooth instead of under it then you can ask your dentist if he sees that it would become problamatic and if it still bothers you I'm sure he'd pull it-but it hurts if he says nothings wrong don't put your daughter through that*
Reply:Don't worry, some children are late bloomers, as you will come to find, she will be a late bloomer with everything!
