What age do children start to lose baby teeth?

My son is 5 years old and he already has one loose tooth, is that normal?

What age do children start to lose baby teeth?
VERY NORMAL. my oldest now 8 lost his first tooth b4 he started kindergarten and the dentist says they lose them between 5 and 6 now. depends on how early they first got them. my youngest that will be 6 on friday and in kindergarten now has not lost a tooth or even had one loose and that's because he started teething late(the dentist told me that 3 wks ago) and reassured it was normal and to keep checking. VERY NORMAL... and have fun with this new experience. :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO STACEY'S SON FOR FRIDAY!!
Reply:Yes, that is perfectly normal. Children begin to loose baby teeth at a wide variety of ages. Generally kids are between 4 and 6, but some kids have been as old as 7 before their first baby tooth is lost. Your son should be seeing a dentist every 6 months for regular check-ups. Your dentist can make sure adult teeth are coming in properly and perhaps correct problems early.
Reply:I think around 5 or 6. My son just turned 6 and has lost 4 teeth already.
Reply:from 8 to 12 years old.
