What is going on with my gums/teeth?

Just a few months ago, I noticed that my bottom, front, right tooth was losing the gum that surrounded it. It started building up plaque and I had to start brushing my teeth 3 times a day. Now, the spot that the gum was supporting the tooth, is exposing the tooth and now I see a black spot at the bottom of the tooth. Its so bad that im pretty sure that the bottom of the tooth is less than a centimeter away from the gum. I can take dental floss and literally go under the tooth. Please help me. This is the first thing I find on my teeth. I've never had a cavity or anything and im worried. Does anyone know what this may be?

Go to a dentist! You should have already gone by now... If you haven't gone just because you don't have insurance, just call around your local dental offices and explain your situation. Try to find the cheapest one that will take you in. Look for clinics if you can and go ASAP, you may need antibiotics. An infection in the tooth can quickly spread throughout the face and even go to the brain.... Get moving! I wish you the best!!!

Reply:You really need to see your dentist as soon as possible. It sounds like periodontal gum disease, which is advanced. Your tooth will eventually loosen, become mobile, fall out, then unfortunately the other teeth will follow. I don't mean to scare you, but this is the reality. If you get treatment soon, perhaps it can be reversed. Good luck!
Reply:What do you mean you can get dental floss under the tooth?

I think you have brushed to hard, too much, too much toward the gum, and/or with too stiff a brush. This causes usually cosmetic gum recession. You can get a gum graft to fix it.
Reply:if there is a thing that you should take seriously as of the moment, it would be going to the dentist. you are having bad gum condition and experiencing the silent attack of gum disease, which can affect overall health negatively.

if do not pay close attention to good oral hygiene then it can result to gum problems. make it a habit to carefully and properly brush and floss teeth every after meal. this can help remove plaque that sticks around teeth. and can fight bad bacteria that can cause oral infections.
